Please Note: We are closed December 24 - January 1. We will re-open on January 2.

Your First Visit

With us, you’re more than a number. You’re a patient and a friend. Before you start treatment, Dr. Prentice will give you a thorough examination and ensure you feel comfortable. She checks for facial balance and TMJ (temporomandibular joint).

After completing her initial evaluation, Dr. Prentice will provide a plan for your treatment, including pricing, the time required, and any other factors to help you achieve the smile you deserve.

Your first visit we will answer your questions including:

  • Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
  • Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
  • What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
  • How long will treatment take?
  • How much will it cost?
  • What are my payment options?

Your Exam

We will take diagnostic records (photos and x-rays), as well as perform a thorough examination in order to answer these questions. It is very important to us that our patients leave the office with a clear understanding of their specific needs and have all of their questions answered.

Meet Your Doctor

Dr. Prentice will review your xrays and recommend a customized orthodontic plan specifically tailored to your needs. We always schedule adequate time to answer questions.

However, we will gladly arrange a follow-up appointment should you require additional information.

Your Financial Options

Your Treatment Coordinator will discuss your financial options with you and prepare a custom plan that works within your budget. If you have orthodontic insurance, please bring your insurance card. By providing this information at the first visit, we will be able to estimate how much your insurance will contribute.

Same Day Starts

If treatment is recommended and you wish to save an additional trip back to the office, we will be happy to get you started with the first step of the process.
