Cost of Treatment

Cost of Orthodontic Treatment

A confident smile frames the way you communicate and share your ideas, so don’t let crooked teeth stand in the way of who you really want to be in the world. The price of orthodontic treatment varies on a case-by-case basis.

The type of correction needed, the duration of the treatment, as well as the type of device used (e.g. braces, aligners, etc.), also factor into your total cost.

Orthodontic Treatment Insurance

Dental insurance with orthodontic benefits is common and usually covers a portion or percentage of treatment costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Just remember that insurance policies vary. Please ask your employer or insurance provider about your coverage details or simply reach out to us.

We can find out specifically what your insurance covers, and whether you must choose from your insurance company’s orthodontic (in-network) providers. We can also help you find orthodontic insurance coverage. We accept many different insurance providers. Our team will work with you to find the best payment options available.

Our office is committed to providing do-able treatment options and helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts.

Health Savings Account

You can use a health savings account (HSA) to cover the cost of your treatment at Prentice Orthodontics. In fact, orthodontic procedures are the perfect reason for using health savings account funds.

HSA Store’s helpful advice section notes that many people believe orthodontic treatment is only a “cosmetic” procedure and must be paid out of pocket. But leaving teeth unfixed can severely affect overall health. If a medical professional, like a doctor, dentist or orthodontist, recommends that you receive orthodontic treatment, your HSA can (and should) be used.

We accept many different payment options including a Health Savings Account (HSA). Orthodonture isn’t just a cosmetic procedure, so talk to us now about using your HSA to play for treatment.
